My professional journey...

Hi i'm
Jessica Hanley

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and learn a little bit about me and my professional journey.

I have been designing professionally for 11 years and counting working in various aspects of marketing and graphic design. As a creative digital and print artist, I have the ability to understand the unique design needs and challenges each client faces and create customized solutions to suit their needs. I enjoy working with various departments, global and local teams to develop design solutions that will make the vision and message come to fruition.

Artistically designing since 2006

I have always had a passion for art. I discovered this passion early on as a child winning the grand prize of all of the drug store coloring contests! My entire live I always had an appreciation for the arts. I painted murals, painted on canvas and was constantly drawing and sketching. After my enlistment in the Marine Corps had concluded I then decided that I wanted to pursue art full time. I attended a local art college and studied commercial graphic arts and then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in IT and multi-media communications.

Real-world expertise

My professional experience entails working with a diverse range of client types to include: defense contractors, global service providers, High-tech technology companies, Health and Beauty industry, arts and theater to name a few. In my 11 year career I held many roles in the marketing and design field, working my way up and learning the industry inside and out. I have worked as a marketing coordinator writing press releases, coordinating events and marketing collateral and updating websites to leading a team of designers as a senior graphic designer in a global tech company. No matter my role I am always learning and growing as I strongly believe in continuously improving upon skills, techniques and following market trends.

Technical Know How

I eat, breath, dream design and therefore I can use the adobe creative cloud suite of design programs in my sleep. The main programs I use daily include InDesign (mainly for my snazzy brochures, magazines and flyers), Illustrator (for all my vectorized creations and logos), and Photoshop (for doing my hair and makeup - kidding I use this for professional photo editing at all times). I do use after effects, dreamweaver and more from time to time as well. I also use all of the Microsoft office suite on a daily basis to include Outlook, Word, Power Point (as I am creating customized templates all of the time), and excel. As far as platforms go... I design mostly on my MAC but also use PCs as well and I professionally use both operating systems continuously.
